Sam Walton was born to Thomas Gibson Walton and Nancy Lee, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. There, he lived with his parents on their farm until 1923. Sam's father decided farming did not generate enough income on which to raise a family and decided to go back to a previous profession of farm mortgaging, working for his brother's Walton Mortgage Company, which served as an agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance[3][4] where he repossessed farms during the Great Depression.[5]…

Historical Background: Jewish dispersion throughout Europe, the Diaspora, began during the Roman Empire. Throughout the Middle Ages, rulers and Christian church authorities passed laws limiting Jewish professions and land ownership, and requiring that Jews be publicly identified by dress. Jewish religious observances and customs, including Saturday Sabbath worship, prohibitions against consumption of pork, and circumcision set them apart from and often aroused the hostility of the Christian communities in which they lived. This hostility resulted in periodic expulsions of Jews, as in France in 1182 and later in 1306, and in England in 1290. Devastated by Mongol invasions in the 13th century, Polish princes welcomed immigrants from Western Europe which resulted in the establishment of a large Jewish population there by the sixteenth century.…

Who is Abigail Williams? is she a liar, a witch or is she really just an honest soul trying to prove her innocence? Some people could relate to Abigail, but those people are probably the liars and cheats of this world. Abigail Williams is one of the characters that made the least number of changes in The Crucible. Abigail's lies never changed throughout The Crucible and she continued to be deceptive. She refused to tell what happened in the woods and she lied about seeing people with the devil. In the beginning Abigail is denying all the things Paris saw when he ventured into the woods and discovered the girls dancing in a circle naked around Tituba. Near the middle of The Crucible Abigail continues to lie about the situation and the people she blamed. Then in the end Abigail remained the same and vanished without a trace.…

The movement of substances in plant cells involves many processes and systems, all of which may affect the plant bio-chemically and physically, and one of these processes is osmosis. Osmosis is the flow of water through a semi-permeable membrane of a cell moving from an area of higher water potential to an area of lower water potential until reaching equilibrium known as isotonic. Before reaching the point of being isotonic, a cell may be either turgid, flaccid or plasmolysed cell.…

There are some problems in American society. In my opinion, the one of the biggest problem in American society today is health problem. Have you ever seen so many fat people anywhere else in the world? I'm not talking over-weight, I talking deathly obese. It is a serious problem with adults and even our children. People eat lots of junk foods or fast foods. They like butter and cheese, they go to fast food restaurant almost everyday .Those stuff just makes people to be fat and unhealthy. Other health problem caused by smoking. Smoking harms nearly every organ of the body. Smoking causes many diseases and reduces the health of smokers in general. The adverse health effects from cigarette smoking account for more than 440,000 deaths, or nearly one of every five deaths, each year in the United States. Also drinking alcohol is a problem for our health. Alcohol interferes with the transmission of nerve impulses in the brain and nervous system. Chronic alcohol abuse can result in psychological problems, rapid pulse, trembling, anxiety, and the loss of intellectual ability.…

I have a quick question for you all before we get started, what was your favourite past era of our society? Was it the 60s? 70s? 80s? Can’t decide? Well, today I am here to tell you about Lolita’s new line! Our company has paired up with Joe Mimran, designer of ‘Joe Fresh’ to help create inspirations of the British 60’s fashion for our new line! Lolita has never expanded like this before so this is very exciting! We have designed many fun dresses, short and long for all age groups! The mini skirt was invented during this era so of course this has to be one of the main pieces in our line! The mini skirt will come in a variety of wonderful and crazy solids and patterns! This era was the beginning of selling separates, meaning that Lolita will have many different blouses and pants all made by look like 1960s wild and very vintage patterns and designs to mix and match with! One of the major hits during the 60s was the paper dress, so of course we will be doing a similar look alike but with a modern-Lolita twist! The inspirations for different fabrics and patterns of this time period were from contemporary art and artists such as Andy Warhol. Obviously money is a little bit of an issue with this rather large project, so a friend of mine, and jobber, Pat Thorn will and has already been searching for the coolest and inexpensive fabrics out there! Everyone at our company is all very excited about this new line and we all hope you’ll give us a chance to prove to you how much success this will bring to our stores! Thank you for your…
