Scay Scalypse Chapter 1 Analysis
Scooby Apocalypse #1 is written by J.M. DeMatteis and Keith Giffen from a concept by Giffen and Jim Lee. The artwork is provided by Howard Porter. Porter is known for his superb work on Batman Beyond Unlimited and Justice League 3000.

The Apocalypse is upon us... again! Thanks to an upgraded Scooby-Doo and gang, we have a better chance of surviving than we ever did before. Based on a concept dreamed up by DC Comics Co-Editor and artist Jim Lee, this new incarnation of the Mystery Incorporated group takes the Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters to a whole new level; one a bit more suited for teens and adults than the normal kiddie target audience of the animated movies and TV shows.

Those meddling kids—Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and their dog, Scooby-Doo—get more ghost-debunking than they bargained for when faced with a fundamental change in their world. The apocalypse has happened. Old rules about logic no longer apply. The creatures of the night are among us, and the crew of the Magical Mystery Machine has to fight to survive—because in the Scooby Apocalypse of the near-future, the horrors are real! …show more content…
