Scavenger Hunt Case Study
Scavenger Hunt

“Scavenger Hunt” a Team Building activity was organized on 24th September 2015. The Class of “Management of Information Professional” was divided into 7 Groups with 6-7 students in each group, as announced by our Teacher Jane Burn. I was the part of Team G including Enda, Erin, Margaret, Meabh, Patrick and Therese. Our Team’s identity was Purple Bandanas. The tasks were such that, if the puzzle in the task was solved it would give the location of the hidden duck. In addition each team was provided with a sheet that had a list of puzzles to be resolved and to compete on common Tasks to get 7 Ducks and Balls. Collaboration has multiple sides and variety of ways. This activity for sure would not have been successful without

So if one wants the respect, one should respect. Respect is also said to be the silent way to express our feeling towards others.

Positive ness
It is said that, if you want something, have positive frequency in your mind for it. All universe then conspires itself to achieve it for you. My Team had full of positive approach during the activity which was the best part while performing the tasks.

I was a runner and was planned to collect things as fast as I could. As the hunt started, we looked into the Sheet and started resolving the clues and the tasks behind it. As we reached towards the conclusion of each puzzle, I used to run for specific spot to get Duck or Ball. I also participated in solving puzzle in order to find place or task behind it. Finally, we found all the Ducks and Balls.

Strengths

Punctuality
I am always in time.

Work Ethic
My strong work ethic is one of my Strengths. When I commit to a deadline, I do it by all means to deliver it. For example, we had timeline for hunting things, we had timeline making reflective analysis, and I finished all in time.

Good Listener
I truly believe that God has given us 2 Ears but 1 tongue. That should convey, we should hear twice before we react.

Weakness & Areas of Improvement

Rush
I am always on a rush, I tend to do things too fast and expect faster results. Though I am no impatient, but my theories and thoughts run quickly and I feel to fly behind them. This is not an issue for me while I work alone, but I definitely need to limit myself on this when doing Team work.

I want to do it

In my cultural scavenger hunt assignment I was asked to locate various items relating to culture at a large department store. On Sunday around noon I visit my local neighborhood Walmart for the cultural scavenger hunt. This store is located in Southeast Portland on 82nd avenue. The store is considered to be in the Happy Valley neighborhood. However, I must note, this store is on the outskirts of the Happy Valley neighborhood. Therefore, this store has a wide range of demographics. Just East of the store, the neighborhood is considered to be the upper middle class, while the neighborhood to the West is regarded as the lower class.…

Once the cup gets back to the leader, she will begin passing the second cup and repeat the process two more times until all three cups have made it completely around the group and we have received responses from all group members. After all the cups have been passed, the group leader will point out similarities that were noticed for the smells. For example, if all the group members stated that the lavender made them feel calm, then the group leader would be sure to mention the feeling that they experienced. Finally, we will explain to the group members that we will be completing an obstacle course, that is halloween and Paw Patrol themed, 3 times with a different challenge added each time to test their abilities. We will also tell them that the activity should take 15 minutes total, and if at any point during the trials they are feeling stressed, anxious, or frustrated, they need to tell us so that we can help them find ways to calm themselves down. We will also explain to the members that we expect them to pay attention, participate to the best of their ability, and be respectful to the other group members and us group…

I am a multi-tasker, I am happier when I have many things going on at the same time or have close final dates. Second, I love projects and jump right into planning mode and delegating tasks. I thrive in putting the visual aspect of the project together in a PowerPoint presentation, videos, role playing, or maps. I see this not only in my classes but also in my daily life. This may answer why I did so well and enjoyed my bachelor’s degree study. Many people call it the “you don’t know how to say NO,” syndrome, I call it fun. Third, my outgoing personality, which helps me step right up to the plate and take on tasks, delegate tasks, and get stuff done. With these strengths does not mean I do not sometimes drop the ball in other…
