    The Only Tree Left

I was walking past the great forests of Tree Land and thinking to myself ‘Where are all the trees?’ So I walked up to the only tree left and asked “Where is your family?” The tree didn’t reply but stood there still slowly starting to shed its leaves. I went closer and whispered to it “Don’t you worry, I’ll help you find the kidnapper.” I moved forward and saw someone loading log-wood into his truck. I quickly went up to him and “You are under arrest!” The strange man started laughing hilariously. I said “You are arrested in the charge of kidnapping and murdering the tree family.” The strange man continued to laugh and drove off the forest. I went back to the only lonely tree left and said “I promise to get you back your family with all the more happiness.” I left the forest and went to a nursery and bought some two hundred seedlings. Without wasting any time I called up all my schoolmates and asked them to reach the forest as fast as possible and with as much water as they could carry. On reaching the forest I found most of my schoolmates waiting there with a tank full of water. They were anxious and were waiting for me to say the reason for such a meeting. I told them the whole incident and we together decided to build up the forest again. Everyone was given ten seedlings and five buckets of water. We completed our planting till dusk and waving a goodbye to the tree we left because the sky had been cloudy all day long. After almost a week I came back to the forest and saw the “only tree left” of the last week green and shady. I went and was about to hug the tree just when it dropped an apple, a deep red apple on me, as a sign of gratitude. I hugged the tree and waved a goodbye to it while it was swaying its leaves to…

The movie Mindwalk, talks about interconnections, relationships, life, ethics, values. The movie gives a message that we should change our perspective to look at things. We should completely change the way we see the world, that is we need to understand that all problems are simply fragments of one single crisis, the crisis of perception. We need to change our system. The system thinks about intervention and not about prevention. Our world lacks vision, perspective, interconnectedness and relationships. We need to improve our education system. We need to understand that we are the one’s responsible for our acts if no matter if we are involved directly or indirectly in the consequence of our actions.…

Kill a Tree or Save Life

    • 993 Words

Most people would say that human life is a precious thing, and that taking it away from someone by force is not righteous. Most would also say that non-human life is less valuable, and most if they are pushed to consider it would say that the value of a life is based on the intelligence of that creature. These facts are obviously the truth, about humans being more valuable the non-human. Human life is not a tree that can be replanted or grow again. Once a human life is gone it is gone forever in other hand, if a tree is cut down it can be replanted. Only thing about replanting a tree is that it takes longer to grow to its full length. There is no way we should compare human life to a mere tree. No matter how much sense you try to make out of the value of a tree’s life, human life is much more valuable than a tree because humans have family to look after, take care of the environment, and most of all human life is precious with feelings.…

et in the 1950s in the Philippines,[3] Tree was the story about an unnamed Filipino boy, the son of a plantation manager and “subjugator of other Filipinos”,[3] who grew up in an Ilocano town known as Rosales, Pangasinan. He was surrounded by acquaintances beneath his social class, relatives, and servants.[2] He was described as a youth who “searched for parental love” and a “place in a society with rigid class structures”. He was also the grandson of the landlord protagonized by José in the novel Po-on. In Tree, the boy narrated the weakening relatiThere were many others but of course there’s also the jaded Espiridion who went to work for Don Vicente in spite of his own wealth – just so he will be able to secure his own wealth – because he knew that if he didn’t, Don Vicente can and he will, take whatever catches his fancy.…
