Save Mother Earth
Save our Mother Nature

The life of Human beings originated on the planet Earth .The “Mother Earth” is calling us for her protection. People have become selfish and they are killing the beautiful forests, damming the rivers and making more concrete walls without even realizing that by doing these activities, they are giving invitation to the termination of their own existence. The plants and mammals are like us-living things. The biggest challenge that our earth is facing today is ‘global warming’, the glaciers are melting, sea level is rising, & the climate is changing on a fast pace.

Activities like composting can be of great help in recycling garbage. Avoid excessive use of chemical fertilizers and synthetic nutrients. Natural manures are a better option for farms and gardens. Water is a very important natural resource. The simplest ways to save water is to turn off the water taps after using it. Use of flushes and showers can lead to wastage of water. Use only as much water as necessary. Do not dump garbage down a storm drain and rivers. This pollutes water bodies. There are laws prohibiting us from doing this. But then it has to come from within the awareness and the awakening. Water is so precious; we can't waste or pollute it.

There are so many electrical gadgets you must be using daily - the air conditioner, heater, refrigerator and oven among many more. Replace the air filters for your air conditioning unit once a month. Turn off these gadgets when not in use.

Do not cut trees, instead plant more trees to save our forests and mountains. Trees provide living and shelter to humans and animals.

If we want our children to have a better place to live in, WE SHALL ACT TODAY! Protect our Mother Nature, Love our

We need to recycle, stop littering, and accumulate less garbage. How can we start to make these differences, we have to start with laws. For an example in California they banned the use of plastic bags. Just the banning of plastic bags alone in California made an immense difference to the environment. To look at a bigger picture, than just banning plastic bags, we need to consider biodegradable plastics. We use plastic and we’re going to keep on using it, so loosing track of small stray pieces of plastic is inevitable. Biodegradable plastic will help with stray plastic, in that “By the time some accidental piece is lost in nature reaches a gyre, it is completely decomposed in solely organic…

Currently in America the average person throws away seven and a half pounds of garbage every day. Most of this garbage goes into to landfills, where it's compacted and buried. These lands fills have huge impacts on the environment; they cause pollution to the local environment by contaminating the groundwater and aquifers, contaminating the soil, and producing methane. One of the ways to help reduce this problem is by recycling.…

The most popular and inexpensive way to get rid of garbage is burial, but burying your problems does not necessarily mean getting rid of them. Landfill sites pose as severe ecological threats as these mass garbage dump yards overflow with trash and frequently contaminate our air, soil and water with hazardous wastes. About 400 million tons of hazardous wastes are generated each year1. A large-scale release of these materials can cause thousands of deaths and may poison the environment for many years. For example many industrial companies around the world cannot afford to enforce the strict pollution regulations set by many developed countries. This usually forces these types of companies to move to developing countries where pollution regulations are very lenient. These developing countries knowingly accept environmentally hazardous companies usually because they are in desperate need of employment. The harmful effects of these companies were clearly illustrated in the 1960s and 1970s when residents living near Minamata Bay, Japan, developed nervous disorders, tremors, and paralysis in a mysterious epidemic. The root was later found to be a local industry that had released mercury, a highly toxic element, into Minamata Bay. The disaster had claimed the lives of 400 people1. Since 1970 you can bet that a lot more than 400 people have died as a result of…

Americans produce 4.34 pounds of garbage per person per day (United States Environmental Protection Agency, 2010). Most people just bring garbage to the curb and just forget about it. Local governments employ numerous ways to remove a growing amount of garbage. The most common way is to ship it off to a landfill and bury it. Another way that has been gaining popularity is recycling. Communities have been struggling with waste removal for generations, raising the question, which option makes more financial sense: landfills or recycling. Even though it is cheaper to use a landfill, recycling is beneficial because ultimately it can save communities money and recycling helps expand the life of growing landfills.…

Intro: Imagine a whole forest being cut down just to store our garbage. This can be stopped if we recycle. Deforestation is a major issue today. This is because man is using natural resources to fulfill his needs. The increase of these demands has led to increasing levels of destruction of our natural resources. These resources being limited, a day would probably arrive when we don't really have anything to turn towards. Think about all the trees that are being axed in the forests today. We have inherited much from planet Earth, such as natural resources and every single one of the living creatures that planet earth is home to. However, in the preceding decades much has happened to our environments. After years of burning unlimited amount of fossil fuels and releasing harmful gases into the atmosphere, we have reached a point where it has affected our ecosystem. As result of the changes in our ecosystem, we have placed extreme amount of stress on living organisms. Animal population decreasing is one aspect of life; we have witnessed certain animal population decrease to dangerous levels but not anywhere close to the extinction rates of today. As selfish as humans might be, now is the time for us to take responsibility for our actions and start caring about our soon to be extinct wild life.…
