In the student sample, “Prothero’s Persuasive Moves,” does the title project what the focus of the paper is—in other words, does the title do enough to catch the reader’s interest AND reflect the thesis?

1. In the introductory paragraph, how well does the student do the following: name the author, and the chapter and the original source for the chapter? provide a short summary on what is at the very heart of Prothero—enough of a summary (or context) so that an outside reader would have a basic understanding of Prothero’s main argument? identify and at least briefly explain the audience you chose to zone in on provide a thesis that focuses both on the audience and HOW Prothero uses his moves as an author to convince this chosen audience of X, Y, and Z. 2. In the 2nd paragraph, how well does the student explain why the audience of primary school educators would have a stake in Prothero’s argument(s)? What other information is needed?
