Salvadore Dali Salvadore Dali was born May 11,1904, in Figueres, Spain. He began producing sophisticated drawings at an early age and both of his parents supported his artistic talents. In 1922 he went on to study at Academia de San Fernando, an academy in Madrid. Dali went to Paris in the 1920’s and began associating with Picasso, Magritte and Miro, which influenced his first Surrealist phase.
