A wonderful afternoon to everyone! To our honored speaker Ma’am Marie Joy M. Intong, Division Private Schools Area Coordinator, Division of Butuan City. Our School Administrator Rev. Mercelita L. Bilaoen. Members of BUCS Board of Trustees. Our cute and beautiful OIC Principal Mrs. Flocerfida T. Atendido, dear teachers, ever supportive parents, visitors, fellow graduates, ladies and gentlemen.
This afternoon we celebrate one of the most unforgettable moment of our lives…Our graduation day. Though I am honored to speak before all of you, I never thought that I could be the Salutatorian. You see, I am used to being the fifth in the class but I’ve been inspired and have couraged to be more serious in my study when challenges are coming in.
Three years in Kindergarten and Six years of Elementary years in Butuan United Christian School has a big part of my education. I learned and developed intellectually, socially, morally and spiritually. Our faith in God was strengthened by the effort of this school to mold a better person out of us.
One of my biggest challenged in my last study here in BUCS is being the Mayor of the Pupil Government for which I learned to be responsible for myself and for the whole school, making sure that I am a good model to other pupils of BUCS. I am overwhelmed by the number of pupils who gave full support to the pupil Government.
One of my great and best experiences was when I first joined the Division School Press Conference when I won 5th placer in Photojournalism, Filipino category last SY 2011 held at Ongyiu Elementary School and 4th placer in Regional Press Conference held here in Butuan City of the same year. This school year, I was given another chance to join again in the said conference, I got the 4th place in the Division and Regional level held at Bayugan City Agusan del Sur last Nov. 26-29,2012.
