About
Sakra Liver Transplant Program, is an Initiative of the Sakra Institute of Digestive and HPB Sciences to establish a state of the art center for Liver Transplant and end-stage organ disease management with emphasis on a patient centric approach in delivering the best quality healthcare services backed by a fine blend of Japanese technology and processes with the knowledge and expertise of Indian doctors.
We also strongly believe in a multidisciplinary approach especially when dealing with serious and complicated illnesses. Our prime focus is to bring together the best and the brightest clinicians, and give them the support they need to discover new treatment approaches and deliver exceptional care to every patient.

We have been able to treat various complicated and difficult liver disease cases and have been able to bring them under control, often without surgery. The team is highly experienced in liver transplant surgeries and has been performing these miraculous surgeries in the past. The team not only has a commendable experience in the flied but also is adept at using various advanced surgical techniques including living donor transplants which can help far more number of people get the much needed transplant at the right time.
Supporting our doctors and surgeons is an excellent team of operating room staff that is dedicated to perfecting approaches that ensure successful transplants and reduce surgical complications.

Preparation
• Consult with one of our liver disease specialists
• Meet the nurse coordinator and learn about the transplant process
• Verify your transplant insurance benefits with our financial coordinator
• Complete the blood work and diagnostic tests necessary for your transplant evaluation
• Meet with the social worker to discuss how you and your family can best prepare and cope throughout the transplant process
• Meet with the dietitian to learn how to optimize your health through smart nutritional choices
• Meet the surgeons to review the operation and care after transplant
• Become listed on the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) wait list after your evaluation is completed
• Continue to keep all of your scheduled follow-up appointments
• Call the transplant team with any changes in your status or concerns
