Safety Data Sheet Essay
1. Follow the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for each chemical. Keep the chemicals in a hood while in use. Do not inhale or consume. Treat any chemical contact according to the SDS.
2. Petroleum ether is highly flammable. Keep all sources of heat or flame away. Room temperature should not be above 72 °F. Avoid creating static buildup while handling. Wear gloves, safety glasses, and lab coat while handling. Store all petroleum ether in the flame cabinet when not in use.
3. Hydrochloric acid is highly corrosive. Wear gloves, safety glasses, and lab coat while handling. Store all hydrochloric acid in the designated cabinet when not in use.
