Social context: In the society ,safe staffing ratio is an effective way to retain experienced employees to meet the goal successfully , If the hospital having safe staffing,it will attract the community for safe patient care.This will helps for the institutional growth and provides patient ,family and staff satisfaction. Safe staffing improves nurse performance and reducing patient mortality rates, reduces turnover rates, staffing costs, and liability.Staffing helps in placing right men at the right job.Manager of each level is engaged in performing the staffing function.Each manager is required to have human relation skills to perform staffing functions.

The current economy status, massive reduction on nursing budget resulted on shortage of nurses. Also unsatisfied and poor working environment, increased work load leads increase absenteeism among staff. The increased workload affects the performances of staff and ultimately, the quality of nursing care will impact negatively.     In order to provide safety, it demands an effort of the entire facility as a whole. As stated in the IHI Open School Basic Modules, the four main characteristics are “psychological safety, active leadership, transparency, and fairness”. I would create a safe environment in the healthcare setting by addressing any concerns the patient and/ or staff may have, being respectful and open-minded.
