Most people have watched, or at least have heard about, the movie Deadpool, but not many people know much about the man behind the mask and his involvements with charities. Ryan Reynolds has proven to be an honest and comedic man, both in his professional and personal life. He is someone that many people know as a hilarious and fast-thinking actor with amazing one-liners. Although many people question the moral alignment of Deadpool, his actor is truly someone with positive intentions in life; Ryan Reynolds has consistently participated in charities along with his wife and he shows off plenty of familial love towards his kids.
Ryan Rodney Reynolds was born on October 23, 1976 in Vancouver, Canada. He started out on television where he started to slowly build a name for himself. It was not until the 2002 comedy National Lampoon’s Van Wilder that he got his first major breakthrough. Since then, Reynolds has played in several genres of movies such as comic book action and serious dramas. After he starred in The Green Lantern (2011), his career began to take off and he starred in a wide array of genres. Anyone who bought the Deadpool movie on dvd will know that there is a pamphlet explaining the risks of testicular cancer and explaining how to check for it. There is also a side where it shows how to check for breast cancer. Reynolds had even dedicated his honorary Critics’ Choice Award to children’s cancer charities such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the SickKids Foundation of Toronto.
