Rudyard Kipling's Rikki-Tavi
In the story, “Rikki-Tikki-Tavi” by Rudyard Kipling; a mongoose named Rikki-Tikki lived in a borrow but one day a high summer flood washed him and his family out of it. Sometime later he woke up hearing a boy saying “here's a dead mongoose, let's have a funeral.”, his mother said, “no let's take him inside and dry him-him perhaps he is not dead.”Next, the warmed him and gave him a little bit of food. After that, he decided to stay at the house and find out more.

All night Rikki-Tikki checked out every noise he heard. In the morning during breakfast, he sat on everyone's laps. After, breakfast he went to explore the garden there he met a group of birds crying because Nag ate one of their babies when they fell out of the nest. After the said that nag ate the baby. Nag came out of the grass.nag wanted to get rid of Rikki because he was a threat. so his wife struck out from behind him. Rikki jumped out of the way at the last second. once he landed he was ready to strike again but they diapered.

he was more dangerous because he was more agile than the other snake's karait struck out at Rikki. Teddy said "look, mother, our mongoose is killing a snake" his mother came out screaming. karait lounged out too far so Rikki landed on his back bit him then killed him. they praised him for saving
