The types of marketing strategies used by Chick-fil-A are substantial and completely different from every other restaurant in the United States. Chick-fil-A’s unique corporate culture derives from Cathy’s Christian background and his desire to inspire and influence people. The company’s official statement of corporate purpose is “to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A” (Wilkinson, p.631). Another form of their marketing strategy that Chick-fil-A uses is their extensive corporate giving programs. The company has helped thousands of restaurant employees, foster children, and other young people through the WinShape Foundation that Cathy established in 1984 to help “shape winners” (Wilkinson, p.631). Their advertising is also a key role in their marketing…

    1. With the recent downturn of the economy, some people can relate more to the needs of others. This has change the outlook of most when it comes to community service or giving back. It seems that people get a heartwarming feeling to know that they are “shopping for a cause” with that mindset that a portion of their money for a $200 pair of shoes is going to a greater cause. For instance, I recently purchased a pair of TOMS from Nordstorm. Once I left I felt really good to know that my purchase was going to give a child in another country a pair of shoes and help Nordstorn with their social responsibilities. This feeling was achieved with just one simple purchase and minimum effort which is what this company is trying to promote.…

Philadelphia, like most cities in the U.S, has a large homeless community that could benefit from our help and we feel that Drexel has the potential to do so. The goal for our campaign is to help our local homeless community while using the dining dollars that would otherwise not have been used. There is always an abundance of meal swipes left over as most students do not end up using all of them. The remaining amount of food that would have been purchased with those meal swipes can be donated to a local homeless shelter or soup kitchen. A program like this would be an excellent addition to Drexel and its students as they would like to know that their school is giving back to its city with their unused meal swipes.…

Unfortunately, the economy is not as strong as it used to be. Each day many people face poverty and hunger. “One in every six children in the United States go hungry each month and 35 million people cannot ensure minimum daily caloric requirements” (Holt-Giménez, 2008). The Gathering Place offers a place where hungry children and adults can come to share a hot meal. Food pantries are affected by rising costs and economic downturns in the same ways as other non-profit organizations. The Gathering Place depends on volunteer labor to operate but requires money to pay utilities, maintenance as well as buy the food that is not provided by food banks and other contributors. It is sometimes necessary to use the monetary donations to purchase food to ensure that all that come are able to have a meal. There are times when there is not enough money in the bank accounts to pay the utilities. Without the funds to pay for all of the expenses that come from running the food pantry, the likelihood of our organization closing is much greater. These economic issues provide us challenges and we fight them as best as we can.…

One year we decided to feature the African culture for our fundraising. We put together a fashion show, dance and skit; we also provided food to our guests. Throughout the event, we emphasized the importance of lending a hand to those in need. We had pictures of children in need throughout the hall; we also had ushers that were going around discussing the topic with our guests. I was very impressed by how generous and caring the guests were. Not only were we able to raise $5,000.00 for the cause, but we were able to recover the expenses of the event. This fundraising event was a testament of…

This part of our proposal will provide a detailed cost analysis of China’s Financial Outcomes dating back to 2012. Starting back in 2012 there were many factors that really impacted the KFC business in China.
