Although Romeo and Juliet died, the families who were enemies for years made up for it and began a truce. The father of Juliet, Lord Capulet, said, “Oh, brother Montague, give me your hand. This is my daughter's dowry. I can ask you for nothing more”(5.3.295-298). Shakespeare said that love should not be rushed, and he made a great example of this in this story. When Romeo and Juliet met, they fell in love immediately. As soon as they touched hands, they knew they wanted to get married. They were so close to each other that they would sacrifice anything for each other. Back in their days, people would marry very fast, but love would not be at its greatest. Juliet's parents thought she would marry Paris, whom she did not love. Romeo saw love immediately with Juliet, so when Romeo saw Juliet had died, he wanted to have life with Juliet forever just like a girl he met less than 1 day ago! Romeo was in love with her beauty and said, “Death has sucked the honey from your breath, but it has not yet ruined your beauty”(5.3.90-95).
