Romeo And Juliet Mask Analysis
The Character I have chosen to do a mask on is Benvolio from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. This mask relates to the character Benvolio because the mask is green and the mask has green jewels. The color green is associated with growth and in the play of Romeo and Juliet, Benvolio helps guide Romeo and by giving him advice throughout scene one and this advice helps Romeo grow throughout scene one. Benvolio instead of growing as a person himself, is helping others grow around him. The blue feather on the mask represent intelligence and trust, this relates to Benvolio because Benvolio gives Romeo intelligent advice throughout scene one of the play to help Romeo. Trust also relates to Benvolio because Benvolio has a lot of trust towards Romeo

If there were no feud juliet’s father would not have tried to make her marry Paris, she would not have had to “kill” herself and Romeo would not have thought she was dead, therefor killing himself. In the play the prince states that because of the feud not allowing them to be together, Romeo and Juliet are dead; ”see what a scourge is laid upon your hate”(5.3.261) In mocking jay the feud is between the districts and the capital. katnis and gale are not able to be together because the…

Franco Zeffirelli and Baz Luhrmann have both directed a film version of Romeo and Juliet very well, but a movie can not capture everything from the book. So, which movie portrayed the book better? There are aspects of both movies that portray the book better. For example, there could one movie could show the character's personality better than the other one or one movie can show the city of Verona better than the other movie did. Small details of a scene could make a scene in one movie a lot better than on the other. Even the smallest of things like the way the characters are dressed could impact the entire scene. In some scenes, the Baz Luhrmann movie portrayed the book better because of the small details…

Juxtaposition is a tried and true example of how opposites attract, they are essential in making potentially good work extraordinary. To understand and grasp their glory, one must read in between the lines. In said extraordinary works lies Romeo and Juliet. To say that Romeo and Juliet is simply a love story about a forbidden love between two star-crossed lovers is at best an ill attempted summary and at worst an insult to Shakespeare’s work and the characters as well. This is a complex story ,with complex characters, about love, loss, and just about everything in between, it is a story about two lovers that will live on forever in their death This story would not be what it is without the complex characters that inhibit it such as Juliet, Romeo and Friar Laurence.…

In many famous literary works, writers use counterparts to highlight key traits of characters, as well as themes and other literary techniques. Most main characters have foils to show their importance. The more alike two characters are, the more their different traits stick out. Whether it is a couple of lovers or villain against protagonist, counterparts are important in all literature. In William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, two star-crossed lovers are similar in their emotional dramatics and impatient mindset, but different in their consistency of love.…

It is common for parents to be concerned about their children’s teen years, with rebellion, mood swings, and poor decisions being frequent grievances. Parents dread this “phase” and enter it with trepidation while being urged by their teens to give them more freedom as a person. What parents don’t realize is that their incessant complaints regarding their children’s unbounded freedom can have a negative impact on them. Many teens hear these complaints and believe that their parents would not approve of their choices and they must navigate their personal issues without assistance. Hormones alone are not what guide teens’ seemingly irrational behavior, but the absence of constructive parental guidance, too much freedom, and the stress associated…

When any misfortune punishes, who is guilty? This thought is not so easily eased, especially when lives of loved ones are lost in the situation. In the moments when awful events happen, the finer is always pointed at one person or another. At times, even the person least expected. Romeo and Juliet, a famous play by William Shakespeare, approves this thought and provides a clear reminder that many characters could be possible suspects to Romeo and Juliet’s death. With what has already been said, the character most responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death would have to be Friar Lawrence. This is believed because he was the one responsible providing Juliet with the remedy of faking death. Also, he did not keep in contact with…
