Love Over Blood William Shakespeare illustrates the disagreements of two households from the streets of Verona, The Montagues, and The Capulets. A young man from the Montagues family helplessly loves a young lady. This young lady is from the opposite family The Capulets, who doesn't love him back. Notwithstanding, Romeo strives to ensure that Rosaline seizes love and affection towards him by attending The Capulets feast. In the tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare creates a mood of suspense in the scene between Romeo and the Capulet servant through the author's use of a cliffhanger that leads the reader to infer what may occur next. When Juliet and the Nurse were discussing about who this gentlemen was, Juliet states, “My only love sprung from my only hate! Too early to be seen unknown, and known too late! Prodigious birth of love it is to me That I must love a loathed enemy.” This states that although Juliet already knows that Romeo is a Montague, she confirms that she is already in love with him, and can not do anything but agree that they are from two different households and that there families do not like each other. Juliet accepts the fact that he is a Montague, and is afraid of what her family would think.
