Roll Of Thunder, Hear My Cry In the book Roll Of Thunder, Hear my cry there are many themes. Three themes that i did are loving your family, land as independence, and friendship. One of the themes is loving your family. The Logan’s family showed that family was first than anything else. They stood up for each other and helped each other out in the rough and dangerous situations. In the book they said those who abandon their families lost and those who risk their lives to death for their family are winning. The book taught me love and devotion towards my family is motivation. The other theme in this book is land and it symbolizes independence. In the book Mama and Papa said they weren’t gonna lose
