Roll Of Thunder, Hear My Cry Mildred D Taylor
Showing courage isn’t always the easiest thing to do, it requires sacrifices to do the right thing. Throughout the book, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry Mildred D Taylor uses Stacey as an example of a boy who shows courage, despite everything that is going on during this period of time. For example, Stacey took the cheat notes from his best friend, T.J. and got blamed for it. Stacey had also showed courage when he helped T.J. get back home after the Simms brothers had beat him up. One last example would be when he told Cassie to go and get Papa while he was trying to protect T.J. from the night men. Stacey is a very heroic, bold, fearless, and courageous. I hope that this influences other young readers to be more like him also.
