Role Model
Mother Teresa was determined to help as many poor and homeless people as possible. She was always thinking of the many people in need. Everyone said about her “either move out of her way or help the poor.” They said that because she was always helping the poor and she wouldn’t let anyone or anything get in her way. She never cared about herself getting sick, all she cared about was the people in need. The reason why I want to be like Mother Teresa is because I want to make a difference in people’s lives just like she did. Also, I want to be like her because she was always thinking of others.

Mother Teresa was very ambitious because she never rested until all of her patients were comforted because she saw the face of Jesus in all of them. God talked to Mother Teresa a lot. Once when she was on a train she heard God say to her, “get off the train and help the people in need.” So she did. She would always obey God’s orders. Whenever a person came up to her to ask for help she would help them with anything like if they needed food, care, or help with anything she was always there. That is another reason why I want to be like Mother Teresa.

Mother Teresa is very worthy of imitation. Every day of Mother Teresa’s life since she became a nun, she was working with people. Mother Teresa served the poorest of the poor for over 45 years. Thanks to Mother Teresa, now there are many places for the homeless, poor, the unwanted, and lots more. Pope John Paul II said “ Mother Teresa marked the history of our century with courage. She served all human beings by promoting their dignity and respect, and made those who had been defeated by life feel the tenderness of God.” Mother Teresa is my role model and I hope to be just like her someday.

Clara Barton, the "angel of the battlefield" inspires me. A time when few girls worked, she became a teacher and soon, with the advent of the Civil War, became involved in humanitarian work. With the Ladies Aid Society, she collected bandages, food and clothing to soldiers. Later, she fought for support to become a nurse during the Civil War. She was a good nurse. Moved by the Swiss Red Cross, at age 60, in Washington D.C., she founded the American Red Cross. Because of Clara Barton, I became more involved with the Red Cross; fundraising, starting a club, becoming an Everyday Hero and Ambassador. Her life taught me the value of giving and leadership. Her life stirs me to go beyond the Red Cross. One day, I hope to create an organization that…

One did not have to look very hard to see both elements of the hero and the saint in the life of Mother Teresa, as she made the conscience decision, much as a saint would, that she would deny Jesus nothing that he asked of her. However, as was with the heroic identity, Mother Teresa struggled internally to understand her meaning in life and what Jesus wanted from her.…

Growing up, Saint Teresa of Avila had a strict father and a loving mother. Her father was always strict when it came to her. Saint Teresa of Avila was convinced that she was a horrible sinner. As a teenager, she only cared about boys, clothes, flirting, and rebelling. When she was sixteen, her father decided that she was out of control and sent her to a convent. At first she hated it, but as time passed on, she began to enjoy it -- partly because of her growing love for God, and partly because the convent was a lot less strict than her father.…

In thinking about writing a paper on a good role model, I asked my 12 year old son who he saw as a role model. He told me “Clay Matthews III, linebacker for the Green Bay Packers.” (Jovanni, 2012) So, I have chosen to write about this man. To see if holds and teaches the values that I also believe in. Thank my mother for who I am, she inspired the person I am today. I was raised in a very strict environment where there were expectations. Rules, responsibilities, honesty and involvement were all considered necessities. I was introduced to community service when I was 5 years old when I was a Girl Scout. Then later when my late father and I would participate in an annual cancer awareness marathon it was a beginning point for me. So from then on there the feeling of accomplishment to help others inspired me. I’m one who wants people to come to be with their troubles so I can help, I’m the one who wants to reach out and touch others and just inspire.…

Of all the family members and friends I knew the person I admire the most is my loving grandma, my mother's mom. Her name is Vy Nguyen; she was born and raised in a poor family in Thanh Hoa, Vietnam. My grandma is truly an important role of my family. I've always admired her because of her strength, patience, bravery, but most of all, her hard work.…
