Rocky Mountain Mutual Memo
Primary Audience
The primary audience for the memo Joe will write is Zachary Evans, Vice President of Operations.

Secondary Audience
• Employees of Rocky Mountain Mutual
• Perspective employees of Rocky Mountain Mutual
• Human resources due to employee absenteeism and health benefit
• Fitness center staff

Priority Secondary Audience

The most important secondary audience listed in my opinion would be the fitness center staff. These individuals would not be able to act on the defending side of the memo but could possibly lose their jobs if Zachary Evans is not convinced to keep the fitness center running.

Costco Wholesale Corp is a big box retailer selling mass quantities of items at Wholesale prices. They are a very consistent company, with constant growth and profitability. They show no major signs of corrupt business practices, and for that reason have been known as one of the best businesses. They currently operate with 174000 employees, which are paid well and have low employee turnover. They do their business in 608 warehouses internationally, and continue to grow. Costco is a highly profitable, well functioning business. Costco only marks up their item’s selling price 15% from original cost, which gives them a low profit margin of 1.7%. With such a low margin, it brings into question how Costco is able to make so much money. There are a variety of ways that Costco makes money: Membership Fees, Rapid Inventory Turnover, Affordability, private label brands, premium products and effective use of square footage.…

Have you ever left a container with some type of liquid in it and wondered how it could it evaporate so quickly? The evaporation of an unpredictable liquid is an endothermic process that results in a temperature decrease. The amount of temperature decrease is related to the strength of intermolecular forces of attraction. The rate of evaporation can be described as the change of temperature divided by the time it takes to reach the lowest temperature. ΔT/Δt (°C/s). In this experiment my group and I are investigating factors that determine the strength of intermolecular forces by determining the rate at which liquids evaporate. The different types of intermolecular forces are as follows, Ion dipole are the strongest forces, Dipole Dipole which are between polar molecules and both positive and negative ions attract to each other, dispersion are the weakest of all intermolecular forces, they also are formed by the shifting of electron clouds within molecules and hydrogen bonding which is attractive force between the hydrogen attached to an electronegative atom of one molecule and an electronegative atom…
