At the beginning of each season Wink has swimmers and divers write down six goals for themselves that they will have accomplished by the end of season. One goal must be nutrition based, one must be academic, one must be training wise, and the other three have to be swimming or diving related. Wink has the swimmers and divers fill out a fifteen-page packet that consists of the swimmer or diver stating their goal, and explaining how they will go about reaching their goals in detail. On the last page of the packet the swimmer or diver re-writes all six of his goals down, then has to sign it. This sheet is photocopied by Wink and then posted just about everywhere in the swimmers life, at home, in the bathroom, in their locker etc. Goals help the swimmers keep their mind away from distracting things such as drugs or alcohol that could affect how their season goes. Without these goals on swimmers and divers minds 24/7, it makes it that much harder to swim faster and throw flips
