Robert W. Krepps's Short Story 'Pride Of Seven'
The short story “Pride of Seven” by Robert W. Krepps portrays the theme you should follow what you believe is right and not to let others influence your choices and beliefs. First, the Masai tribe, located in Kenya and northern Tanzania, have a tradition that to become a man you must kill a lion as the final test after surpassing all others. If the boys choose not to they are little, but barely more important than a woman. Most men choose to kill as soon at the time that they have passed the other tests. Most men want to become a man as soon as possible. Some people have a different mindset than everyone else and En-gerr is one of those men who doesn’t have the need to do everything early in life and to be the most beloved in the tribe. He does not have the need to be the best at

“To live a moral life as a Christian is to imitate Jesus and listen to the teachings of the Church, in order to create the Kingdom of God” (RE Morality Booklet). Moral decision making is influenced by many factors, including the teachings of Jesus, Christian and Cardinal Values and the teachings of the Church. These aspects clearly provide a Christian ethical code of conduct which helps in moral decision making, as portrayed in the movie The Lion King where the supporting characters, Timon and Pumbaa, decide to save the protagonist Simba and when they choose to fight alongside him in his quest to reclaim his rightful position as king of the Pride Lands.…

Morals, values, and ethics are one of the most important characteristics of a person. These features define who we are and what we believe in. Many different factors come in to play when determining a person`s morals, values, and ethics; childhood upbringing, later life experiences, family, friends, culture, religious beliefs, race, discussions with others, and many others that have an affect a person’s beliefs (Head, 2006). There are times when a person`s beliefs do not agree with someone else’s, which does not mean that one of these people is wrong, it means that we, as individuals, do not all think the same. As a whole, most people have a good sense of right and wrong, which is to say that for the most part most people have good morals, values, and ethics.…
