The lives of politicians are often intriguing to the public. This essay will describe the life of Rob Portman. It will begin with his childhood and conclude with the fulfillment of his dream to become a United State Senator. Many of the events may be similar to those of other politicians but careful exploration will reveal what is uniquely different about Rob Portman. Rob Portman's life began in Cincinnati, Ohio in the year of 1955. Each Phase of his upbringing was a stepping stone that helped him achieve to become one of our U.S Senators. Portman grew up working in the Family business Portman Equipment Company. Where he learned the values of hard work .leadership and budgetary responsibilities. Working in the Family business , gave portman many opportunities in responsibility and refining his character. During his high school career, Rob Portman acquired a strong interest for politics. “But I wasn't a Democrat or a Republican," Portman later told the National Review. His father thought the idea of politics got in the way of living life. No one in his family was ever involved in being a Democratic or Republican. Rob portman was the first of his family to grow towards the orientation of politics. Rob Portman continued his education at Dartmouth College, where he began to lean to the right of conservative politics. Portman …show more content…
Portman largely focuses on creating more jobs to help our economy.To do this he wants to simplfy and reform our tax code and restore our regulatory system. Portman is looking into improving retraining programs for workers. Therefore the outcome for America will be competitive and filled with innovative spirit. To help make our economy great again, Portman would like to encourage the government to reduce spending. He believes the Congress have failed to complete the appropriate givings of the money, that results in throwing the nation into many budgeting
