A risk of not being vaccinated or refusing to vaccinate your child is the possibility of contracting harmful vaccine-preventable diseases.Diseases like the measles, smallpox, chickenpox and almost all vaccine-preventable diseases are easily spread from one person to another.According to M.D Matthew M. Now Most vaccine-preventable diseases are rare in the United States due to vaccinations, but they do still exist and affect people in other countries that can be easily brought to the United States, and all it would take for a harmful vaccine-preventable disease to come to the Unite States is an infected person from another country to come here or an unvaccinated person to go to another country and come back.That’s how the 2008 measles outbreak occurred in California, an unvaccinated child went to Sweden on vacation with their parents and contracted the disease and came back to the United States and got other children sick.
