Introduction and summary of the book
“Screw It, Lets Do It” is an autobiography which focuses on tenets and values of Richard Branson. It underlines his personality traits: a confident challenge-seeker and a calculated risk taker who advocates a “go get it” attitude. It also elaborates on his underlying motivation and the encouragement he got from his family that acted as catalysts for his success journey. The book inspires its readers to pave the way ahead in their lives by learning from the experiences from Richard Branson. Richard Branson is a British Business magnate and investor, best known as founder and chairman of Virgin Group. Born with acumen, perspicacity and prudence, he started his first business venture ,“Student” magazine at the age of 16 . Then in 1972, he opened a chain of record stores that later became popular as ‘Virgin Megastores’. Thereafter, he never stopped or looked back. An epitome of resilience, passion, pragmatism, he reached the pinnacle of success by owning a conglomerate of 400 companies, the major ones being Virgin Airlines, Virgin Trains etc. He has always been keen about constant learning throughout his life.
