Rhetorical Analysis: The Manhattan Project
In this article the Pentagon's grand rhetoric wasn't matched with any great influx of funding for science, and it wasn't clear how any one technology could help fight a loosely organized, deliberately low-tech enemy. In 2005, Iraq was experimenting with roadside bombs so to counter these improvised explosives, Pentagon officials called the academic community for the “Manhattan Project”. The Manhattan Project was basically a big bomb that the U.S. wanted to create to try to scare other countries. Six years later, the Department of Defense spent approximately $17 billion on countering improvised explosives but the vast majority of that money has gone on implementing known solutions such as stronger armor for vehicles and personnel, not advanced

    Today in America many people question whether or not college is truly worth the stress, time, and cost it throws on an individual.
