Rabies is a virus that spreads easily. Rabies causes the brain to expand and inflame in humans and mammals. The virus affects the nervous systems of the brain and spinal cord of mammals(Medbroadcast,2017). The inflammation in the brain causes the brain to function differently(MedBroadcast,2017). Rhabdovirus, single stranded RNA viruses, is the causative agent for rabies. The rabies virus is enveloped, it is covered/surrounded by a covering for protection. The rhabdovirus contains up of a helical ribonucleoprotein core(RNP), and an envelope that is surrounding the viru (CDC,2011). Eukaryotes have a synthesis process between protein and RNA that forms the ribonucleoprotein. The rabies genome has five protein components: nucleoprotein, phosphoprotein, matrix protein, glycoprotein, and polymerase protein(CDC,2011).
