In order to give the passenger a copy of the details of the taxi, the security guard or the person in charge needs to manually take note of the details on the taxi information slip every time there is an outgoing taxi which may be prone to human error.
Robinson’s Place Bacolod does not use a computer to generate the outgoing taxicab details automatically and to provide a clear print- out of the taxi information slip which may take time if the customer is in a hurry.
The name of the driver is not included on the taxi information slip that the security guard gives to passengers. The taxi company assigns more than one driver to the same taxicab with the same plate number which may result to confusion and there’s no record of it to back it up.
Robinson’s Place Bacolod doesn’t keep a record of the outgoing taxicab after the security guard gives the taxi information slip to the passenger and because of this, the personnel won’t be able to track the information that the passenger needs right away if there are inquiries or complaints.
In order to solve the difficulties in the current taxi monitoring service, the proponents came up with the study to develop a Simple User-level RFID Based Record Management System. The outgoing taxi’s data can be easily acquired with the use of an automated system. With the use of a computer, transactions would be more reliable and faster. In order to keep a record of outgoing taxicabs, the use of a database will ensure data security and data integrity. Keeping a record of the data allows the establishment to retrieve information easily and keep track of the outgoing taxicabs in Robinson Place’s Bacolod.
