Reverse Mentoring Research Paper
One of the important benefits mentioned in reverse mentoring is in bridging the generation gap between the baby boomers (born between 1946 and 1964), Generation X (born between 1965 and 1976), and Generation Y also known as the millennials (born between 1977 and 1998).
This has led to a number of prejudices and stereotypes forming that can be difficult to overcome. These different generations need to learn how to cross the generational divide. Reverse mentoring can help to challenge these stereotypes, and change the mindsets of these groups and in the long run, will benefit the organization as a whole.
