Resume and its importance
a) The right resume for job hunting.
A resume is a document used by a person to present his or her background and skills. Resumes can be used for a variety of reasons, but most often they are used to secure new employment. A typical resume contains a summary of relevant job experience and education. The resume is usually one of the first items, along with a cover letter and sometimes an application for employment, which a potential employer sees regarding the job seeker and is typically used to screen applicants, often followed by an interview. The resume is comparable to curriculum vitae (CV) in many countries. However, it is substantially shorter than a CV.
Now coming to the question why is a resume so important? Here are three reasons.
• Prove you are qualified. There are some people who get hired for prestigious jobs based solely on personal connections, but the rest of us have to prove to a potential employer that we deserve the job. A resume is important because it is the tool for doing this. In a well-crafted resume, job seekers guide potential employers through their work history, and demonstrate that they have all of the competencies necessary for the desired position. The resume must prove one's qualifications.
• Prove you care about the job.
It is important that job seekers guide potential employers not only through their work history, but also through their passion for the job. Failure to prepare a strong resume sends the message that you are not serious about getting the job. A candidate who shows up without a resume indicates that he or she was not willing to spend even that minimal amount of time, and does not really want the job. A resume is important because it shows that you care.

• Prove you understand the working world. A resume is important because it is part of the standard hiring process that everyone is expected to understand. Part of being professional in anything involves understanding the rules of the game. For the modern

I think the main purpose of a resume is to provide a company with an overview of your professional achievements and background. Your resume acts as a marketing document, whether on paper or online, and its purpose is to introduce you to potential employers, promote what it is you have to offer and entice them into wanting to know more. According to Lauri Harwood, “a resume is a brief document, typically one or two pages, that details your qualifications for a particular job or job target.”…

We spent a while on researching the proper way to apply to a job; including how to fill out an application, how to do a cover letter and different interview skills. I come to find out that it is very important to know how to fill out an application the right way and know how to write up a resume because those two things can make or break your chances in getting the job. When writing your resume you want to use ¨power words¨ in order to make yourself sound more appealing. Also your formatting of the resume has a bigger impact on the job than you might think. You want to make sure your resume is only one page, filled completely but not too cluttered and is always truthful to what you are capable of doing. When filling out the application the most important thing to think about is to be honest. You do not want to imply that you can do something that you can not do. Next, to create a successful cover letter you want to make sure that your formatting is correct. Also you want to make it appoint that you are interested in the job and go into a little bit of detail on why you think you would be perfect for the job. Lastly, at the end of your cover letter you always want to ask for a interview and that you look forward to hearing from them. Once you do get the interview you want to prepare for it. You want to look presentable, like you actually want the job. Also you can simply look up…

We all know that finding the right job that meets your financial goals can be competitive because there are so many people that have the same educational achievements, and work experiences that you may have. This would lead some to fabricate different things in their own resume hoping to obtain the position over the other candidates. The pressure to be the best candidate for the position can lead to people to add to their resume in ways that are untrue. The person writing their resume will justify themselves by saying that they need or deserve the job. However, this is an unfair advantage that the person is receiving and the other applicants will be cheated out of a fair playing field.…
