In the year of 1961 U.S President John f. Kennedy challenged NASA to land a man on the moon. To make it to the moon it required many advances in technology. There were many Apollo missions before the actual moon landing. Apollo 8 and 10 flew all the way to the moon, around it, and back to earth. Finally mission Apollo 11 was ready to launch the Saturn 5 space shuttle. On July 16 1969, Apollo 11 launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. They traveled to the moon and arrived in lunar orbit on July 19. On board the Saturn 5 was Neil Armstrong and Buzz aldrin. After stepping on the lunar surface Neil Armstrong spoke these memorial words “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. After their stay on the moon (21 hours and 31 minutes) they blasted off the top part of the lunar lander and returned to earth. Splashing down in the Pacific Ocean on July 24 1969.
But not all believe this is true. NASA claims that we landed on the moon but there is evidence proving otherwise. For one, in the moon landing videos broadcasted by NASA it shows the American flag flapping in the wind but how can this be possible if the moon has little gravity and no atmosphere. Another claim for the moon landing hoax is that in many of the photos taken of the astronauts on the moon depict the sun behind the astronaut yet the astronaut does not appear as a black silhouette but with clearly dipictable features giving evidence of another light source. Also on many of the moon photos the back round is pitch black showing no stars, why is that. Why is there no blast crater underneath the rocket? Also why are there shadows facing different directions in some photos. This too gives evidence of multiple light sources. Many conspiracy theorists debate that it would be impossible to cross the van Allen radiation belt. They say that the astronauts had very little protection and that crossing the radiation belt would have caused major problems for the astronauts yet they returned to earth unharmed. Also in some photos the astronauts are clearly in the shadows of the lunar lander yet they are not dark but brightly lit again giving evidence of multiple light sources.
I do believe the conspiracy theorists because there is much more evidence supporting that the astronauts never landed on the moon than there is that they actually landed. I think they actually flew to the moon but never landed simply orbited around it for a few days then returned to earth. The only piece of evidence that I disagree with is the one referring to a photo taken of buzz aldrin by Neil Armstrong in which u can see Armstrong in the glare of buzz’s helmet but no camera. Here NASA claims that the space suits had cameras installed in the suit which is why Armstrong has his arm raised to his chest other than this most evidence proves against the lunar landing.

It all began with Bill Kaysing who was a writer and best known for being the initiator of the Moon Hoax movement. Kaysing the author of We Never Went to the Moon: America's Thirty Billion Dollar Swindle. In the book, Kaysing shows images of the landing and points out its anomalies. Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins were the other two on the Apollo 11 mission with Armstrong. Aldrin was the Lunar Module Pilot, and Collins was the Command Module Pilot. The Soviets were the first to put a human into space when they put Yuri Gagarin into space aboard the famous space craft called Vostok 1. The US shortly after followed this by sending their own astronaut into space a few weeks later; the astronaut that was sent to space was Alan Sheperd. One highly criticised image captured was a picture of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin planting the United State’s flag into the moon’s surface and what appeared to be ripples moving through the flag as if there was wind. Many theorists claim that since the vacuum of space does not allow an atmosphere to form on the moon there cannot be a gentle breeze present, therefore the picture is proof the moon landing happened on Earth.
