Respect Definition Essay
Most people go through life not knowing what the word ‘respect’ truly means, especially present-day students in school. Often times, the word respect may have a completely different meaning, depending on the person. Although respect may have a different meaning to each person, respect still should play an important part in your life. Respect is an intangible characteristic regarding how much admiration you have for another person, based on your feelings towards them. Respect in the school setting is a growing concern with students across our nation, as many students don’t know how to exhibit respect in the school setting. Often times, students will be non-respectful, or disrespectful, in the classroom setting by not doing their work, arguing with the teacher, or being defiant. Through hard work and persistence, we can spread awareness of what respect looks like, sounds like, and how to establish respect in the school setting.
Often times in the school setting, you will witness many positive interactions among administration, students, and staff. These interactions are established by the simple aspects of respect in the school

Establishing respect can be accomplished in many forms, including displaying self-confidence, completing homework and another assignment on time, and having patience with others. Having these simple goals in the school setting will allow you to establish respect with fellow administration, peers, and staff. Additionally, you can establish respect with one another by just being kind, caring for one another as you should. By using respect in the school setting, you will be able to establish positive relationships with people around you, including fellow administration, peers, and staff. Respect is often taken too lightly, especially in the school setting, as students don’t often think of what true respect sounds like and looks
