To get started, you must have Adobe Reader® loaded on to your computer. Each guide is formatted as a Portable Document File (pdf) and Acrobat Reader allows you to read, print and search these files. If you don’t have Adobe Reader on your computer, you may download the most current version from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.

PADI Specialty Instructor Manual Installation
For your convenience, an installer is provided that installs your choice of guides to your hard drive and adds them to your Start Menu (Windows). It also, optionally creates shortcuts on your desktop. If Setup doesn’t automatically start soon after inserting the disc, use the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel to begin Setup. The on-screen instructions will guide you through the installation.
Macintosh users should double-click the SpecManl.dmg file to open the disc image and drag the guides you need to your hard drive and then make shortcuts as necessary.
If you already have the PADI Instructor Manual CD-ROM, you may not want to install the Specialty Diver Courses Instructor Guide from this CD-ROM as you already have it in the Instructor Manual.
If you install more than a few guides and allow desktop shortcuts to be created, you may wish to create a folder on your desktop and move the shortcuts into it to keep your desktop uncluttered.
