Reservations In Macbeth
In this scene Lennox meets with a rebel lord and reveals his reservations about Macbeth. He presents the point that those who are quickly to be suspected are most likely not to have done it rather than someone who has hastily killed a pair of guards (Macbeth). Basically, Lennox is VERY suspicious of Macbeth. We are also made aware that Macduff has fled from Scotland to join forces with Malcolm in England. They pray to God that peace will once again return to Scotland and Macbeth’s action will not go unpunished.
