Shakespeare’s Life Shakespeare's life has changed the lives of many through his extremely influential and extraordinary poems and plays. He is sometimes not even believed to be a real person, as much of the information about his life is missing from his documents. Whether or not he is real, his legacy lives on through his work. The big events in his life were the early life, the middle age, final years, and his career. He was born to John Shakespeare a leather merchant and Mary Arden a local landed heiress. Shakespeare had five siblings Joan, Judith, Gilbert, Richard and Edmund. Not much is known about Shakespeare's education but it is commonly believed that he was educated in The King's New School. Not much else was known about Shakespeare's first years of his life. On November 28th, 1582 Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway in Worcester, England. He was 18 at the time and she was 26. The form he used for his plays and Poems was typically unrhymed iambic pentameter. A few of his early works included Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Merchant of Venice, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, and The Comedy of errors. Some of his later works included Hamlet, King Lear, Othello, MacBeth, The Winter’s Tale, and Tempest. Shakespeare was a mystery and a legend of his time, but also of today. He used his unique style and traditional techniques to create amazing writing pieces. He was an inspiration to many other authors, poets, and playwrights. Shakespeare is an important part of history and always will be.
