Selena Gomez Selena Gomez is an inspiration to lots of people. She is a musician, actress, model and a fashion designer. She was born and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas. Selena was born on July 22, 1992. She was named after Selena the Tejano singer. When Selena was just 5 years old, her parents got divorced. Selena has 2 siblings, Gracie Teefey and Tori Gomez. Selena had a really close relationship with her grandparents. Before she was in the spotlight, their family had financial problems.
