Research Paper On Piet Mondrian
The famous artwork that I chose to recreate is [ Composition II in Red, Blue and Yellow], which is made by Piet Mondrian in 1930. The reason why I decided this art piece is really clear and easy to understand, this one is the only artwork in the Abstract Expressionist Art period that I could paint and my ability and talent could afford.
Actually, Piet Mondrian was not from the AEA period, this talented Dutch painter was a donor to the De Stijl art movement and group. De Stijl means ‘the style’ in Dutch, it also called neoplasticism. It was a artistic movement established in 1917 in Leiden. The artistic philosophy of neoplasticism is ‘The new plastic art’.
Mondrian was born in march 1872 and died in february 1944, he started his art life around

“The painting should be an original, not a reproduction” (Winterson 8). The reproduction of art diminishes the originality and authenticity of the piece. Not only does this diminish originality but bypasses giving the appropriate credit to the founder. In the novel Art Objects: Essays on Ecstasy and Effrontery Winterson asserts that an artist needs to be familiar with past art, this is important in ensuring that contemporary artists do not plagiarize past work.…

The second Italian piece is the Portrait of a Lady in a Green Dress by Bartolomeo Veneto 1530. This portrait is one of my favorites because of its deep hues and the woman who had been chosen. This woman with her pale skin and odd features has made me remember the portrait of Anne Boleyn, one of the wives of King Henry IIIV. The dress seemed as if you were to touch it you would actually be able to feel what the fabric felt like. There is beauty in this dark portrait because the artist has used the light on her face to brighten it which makes it a bold portrait.…

Piet was one of the founders of the De Stijl the Dutch modern movement. He is well known for his purity of his methodical practice and his abstraction. His painting reflects his spiritual order underlying the visible world, creating a clear, universal aesthetic language. He chose to distill his representation of the world to their basic vertical and horizontal elements. The positive and the negative, dynamic and the static, the masculine and the feminine represented the two essential opposing forces. The balance of his compositions reflect is what he saw as the universal balance of these forces. Mondrian believed his vision would transcend divisions in culture and become a new common language onto his canvass of pure primary colors, flatness…
