Personally, as a single individual, I want to make an impact on the world, to make it a better place. I have the mentally that I would to make a difference, so at the level where I am at, all I can do is volunteer locally. I would love to be part of the Macy’s team. I understand that their business is taking a dive due to competitors, and it took a big hit during the depression from 2008 to 2011, they only

Historically speaking, Canada has never been a great market for American retailers. The Canadian dollar was weak, costs were higher, and with limited real estate development, it was difficult to find space. Not anymore, now the door to Canada is opening wider than ever thanks to a stronger Canadian dollar, a relatively robust economy, and a loosening of the commercial real estate market, in part because of the downsizing of some longtime retailers like Sears Canada. For American retailers, Canada’s allure is simple; sales per square foot at Canadian malls were almost 50 percent higher in 2011 than sales per square foot at American malls. This is a budding market that Nordstrom will need to act towards if they hope to keep up with the competition in the future.…

From the given company information and profile, it seems that Company Q’s current attitude toward social responsibility could be improved. Customers are not only interested in what products and services stores offer, they are also interested in how the companies serve the community. Company Q needs to change a few policies in order to improve their current social standing in the views of their customers. First, closing stores in areas of need is not a customer-friendly policy. Next, offering products customers ask for, but with limited selection and high profit margins is not a customer oriented policy. Finally, refusing to donate day-old products to charity shows a lack of caring for the communities the company serves.…

Currently, the National Mall has many monuments; however, none of the monuments include powerful woman figures. If a monument were to be added to the National Mall, it should be one of a powerful woman; a woman that has made great change and contributed to this world. Mary Jackson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Katherine Johnson created important mathematical data to launch some of NASA’s first successful space missions. If it were not for those three powerful African American women, we may have not known about the wonders of space. If a monument were to be added to the National Mall, it should be of “human computers,” Mary Jackson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Katherine Johnson. If it were not for the influential women, Neil Armstrong, Alan Shepard, and John…
