Jewish Tombstones

According to old laws and customs of Jewish , after the death of a Jewish ,he/she should be buried among Jews. It was not considered good for a Jew to be buried after his death in a mixed- denomination cemetery, the term matzevah ,can also be called tombstone,means“pillar, stone” .It is used to store old memories about some one.It is used to remind us of an individual gone from this world. The use of tombstones tells that a grave site was marked according to the ancient text .

Jewish Tombstone have a unique style.They have a vertical slab made of sandstone.They have rounded top, centuries ago the they used to built tombstones with squared top; the rounded top, is only seen in today’s Jewish
