Have you ever seen in real life or not a crazy looking animal? Does it look as crazy as the Grimpoteuthis otherwise known, as the, Dumbo Octopus! The Dumbo Octopus lives in the ocean of New Zealand and Australia at extreme depths of 9,800 to 13,000 feet! There’re very small, only 8 inches. The largest recorded Dumbo octopus was 6 feet in length and 13 pounds! The Dumbo octopus is a head shape with 8 arms. It got the name Dumbo because of its ear-like fins. You can tell if they’re males or females by the length of their tentacles. The males have two tentacles are longer for mating and the female’s tentacles are shorter. They can be red, green, or orange. The arms have harpoon-like barbs on them to capture and hold
