Cosmetology: What a fabulous world! Hey there gorgeous! Cosmetology is not all about hair and makeup; it also involves a love for beauty and fashion. Cosmetologists are usually creative and friendly individuals with an eye for fashion. Cosmetology is a good career for those interested in fashion that requires a certain education and offers rewards such as enjoyment, excitement, salary compensations and benefits. Cosmetology is not meant for everyone. This career requires specific people with specific skills. For example, someone that does not have any creativity, social interaction, sense of style, love for fashion and patience may not be the best choice for a cosmetology career. …show more content…
When working as a cosmetologist, many people are involved and around them at all times, therefore, new friends and relationships tend to be made. Making people feel happy and beautiful is another reward in cosmetology. When a person does well for others they tend to feel better about themselves. Emotional satisfaction comes from doing well for others, and making someone’s hair and makeup look great makes the customer and the cosmetologist happy. Nothing beats the feeling of turning a clients chair around towards the mirror and witnessing their happy reaction. Job satisfaction is also very rewarding, when people love what they do, they have a tendency to do their work …show more content…
However, these people are terribly wrong. People have said that when a person loves what they do it’s not a job it’s a career. I strongly believe that if the right people go into the cosmetology world with a love and passion for it they would be able to make way more than the average pay. The importance of being a cosmetologist may not be as important as a doctor or a lawyer but there is still importance in the career field. Cosmetologists have the chance to talk with many people throughout each day and usually build relationships with certain clients. They listen to their clients when they may be going through a tough time in life and also when they go through exciting times in life. Cosmetologists can play the role of being a counselor and a friend and the importance of that is undeniable. They are also always there for clients when they may need some fashion or hair advice. People underestimate cosmetologist and until they walk a day in their shoes they should reconsider their negative
