They need to sit in prison with the knowledge of what they did until they die either of old age or sickness. When given the death sentence you don’t have to face what you did. You are getting off the hook by dying and you don’t have to think about what you did. You are just fed and then killed. You don’t have to think about everything you did that you shouldn’t have done and the crimes you have committed. Also it isn’t fair to tell the kids that they can’t hurt someone for hurting them yet, kill someone for killing someone or raping someone. The death sentence is an escape from the crime they…

That's what the problem is making it seem like every kid is innocent and had a reason for their actions. When I look at it in my eyes a crime is a crime you make your own choices anger should never be that built up. Even if it is you shouldn't kill not one person. Let's just be honest some people even do time for their child actions. From personal experience, I think that the evidence in many cases isn't good enough to argue who did it and why. Furthermore to explain a boy had a gun and his father took the fall for it. Which that child knew exactly what had done and the actions he had committed and not once still to this day the police haven't found…

Problem Statement: The response to the shootings in Columbine could have been handled more effectively if there was a solid coordinate effort from law enforcement and emergency units in the area. The plan of action to prevent the incident from playing out further was hastily put together and only cost more lives at danger. All possible lines of communication whether it be from law enforcement officials, emergency personnel or even the media for that matter, were contradicting each other and inaccurate in their details. Information from witnesses, victims and Columbine school officials also proved to be unreliable in this terrorist act. Their accounts of what…

The first reason why parent shouldn’t go to jail is: the parent didn’t know about what their children is doing. That was one of the reason because when Dylan and Eric was practicing how to shoot guns in the mountains their parents didn’t know about it. Also the parents don’t see their kids because they are all the time at work and don’t have the time to sit with their kids and ask them what they’re doing or what…

Teenagers, who commit violent crime such as murder, first degree murder, second degree murder, homicides, voluntary manslaughter, and involuntary manslaughter should be tried as adults. These teenagers knew exactly what they were doing and they also had the intent to kill. Families are blaming it on violent movies or violent TV shows, hello it is called parental control. Maybe if we start trying them as adults teens would think twice. Adolescents should be tried as adults for committing violent crimes because they knew what they were going to do before they committed the crime.…

A 12 year old brother and 13 year old sister have been sent prison for 1st degree murder. Curtis and Catherine Jones murdered their fathers girlfriend and have been sentenced to 18 years. The reason behind the killing was about a relative abusing the two children and once Curtis and Catherine asked for help from their father and his girlfriend, they ignored and did not do anything about it. So the kids plotted a plan to kill the girlfriend. Today, children are receiving much harsher punishments than they should be. This is a major problem because once they are sent to prison they become victimized, are mentally unfit, and shouldn't live in that poor of environment.…

    Kids Will Be Kids Essay

“Kids will be kids,” they said, but they stop believing that statement when a youngster commits heinous actions. I strongly agree with not sentencing juveniles or charging them as adults, they do not have the capacity of reasoning their actions. A brain is not at its full development at a young age. As for an adult, their brain has been through more development and should be mature and conscious of what is that they are doing. We are not considered legal yet until we turn 18; and it is for the same reason, because they expect us to be more mature of our actions. We know more, we know better, we are conscious of what will go on and if it is the right thing to do. It is not right either for these younger kids to do these dreadful crimes and I do believe they should be penalized for what they have done, but never be trialed as an adult or even be sentenced to prison.…

A crime is a crime, no matter who did it or how old they are. Just because a “kid” committed a crime doesn’t mean that a crime wasn’t committed. For example, four boys from Tampa, Florida should spend the rest of their lives in prison for what they did to one of their classmates. “In a “locker room prank,” they sodomized a 13 year-old boy with a broomstick and a hockey stick” (Keri). This kid is ruined for life; shouldn’t they pay for their actions? Many crimes by children have been violent and/or even deadly. There is usually a victim who has suffered or even died. Even a child should pay…

<br>My last point is that these criminals should have thought of what the consequences would be before they killed someone. If they didn't do this or did and still killed someone, they probably aren't intelligent enough to make any positive impact on the world or they are mentally unstable. They shouldn't get off the hook for killing someone. You might feel that sentencing them to life in prison is punishment enough but no, not to me. To me prison is…
