The Amazing Life of Christian Doppler There have been many great discoveries in all studies of science and more are yet to come. A mathematician and leading physicist of the 1800s, Christian Doppler has definitely enriched the field of science through his discovery. The discovery that Doppler found is called today the Doppler Effect. His perseverance and ambition has taken him a long way to success. All of these qualities have been able to be seen right from his childhood years. Christian Doppler came from a stonemason family. He was born on November 29, 1853 in Salzburg, Austria. His father’s name was Johann Evngelist Doppler and his mother’s name was Therese Doppler. Doppler had four siblings while growing up in his family. Christian Doppler had poor health conditions and illnesses that kept him from continuing in the family business. As an alternative career, his father thought that book-keeping would be a great option for his son.
Immediately he was recognized for his talents in mathematics and physics. He graduated in the year 1825, enrolled himself in University of Vienna to study a higher version of math and astronomy. During that time, Doppler gave classes in math and physics to maintain himself. When he graduated from college, Doppler became the assistance of a professor, where during that time he started to contribute through papers about theories of parallels.
