I am coaching an academy team. I hope that I can help young players achieve their dreams of becoming a pro. This dream will make me content because I know that I will be helping others. Also, achieving this dream will get me closer to the sport I love, soccer. I am going to feel very satisfied when I reach this dream. I am getting a coaching license and getting my name around the soccer world. This will help me get close to my dream. When I get my name noticed, I am going to work hard to keep my reputation of being a skilled coach. After I achieve my dream, I am going to work on becoming a coach for a professional team, not just an academy. This dream in life came when I first joined my academy. I had a coach that inspired me to do the same

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. Soccer mom is portrayed as putting the interests of her kid and herself in soccer. It was also used in names of organizations of mothers who support children's soccer team. Because of so much participation in community, people could trust soccer moms to be as "their neighbor". In addition, they became the swing voters who will decide the 1996 election, the columnist Ellen Goodman of The Boston Globe called 1996 "the Year of the Soccer Mom" expressing how much they involved in community.…

My childhood dream was to work as an anchor for ESPN. I still want to work in sports, as a college athletics video coordinator, video taping practices and games for game tape and the university archive. Sure, it was refined somewhat, but what I want to do is basically in the same vein as my childhood dream. When being asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up,” my answer was “an ESPN anchor.” I still think about that from time to time, even though I’m a freshman in college. I think if you keep the dreams from your youth in the back of your head, you will actively pursue something that you really love. If you like what you do, you will be much happier, and happiness is the key to quality of life.…

My career goal is to have the ability to encourage, motivate, inspire, and stamp the lives of young teenagers. I chose to go into the career cluster of Education and Training. My career goal is to be a High School teacher and an Athletic Coach. I want to be considered one of the “cool teachers” that all the students go to with the school gossip and personal problems, but at the same time I want to be a teacher/coach that takes things seriously. I believe I would be successful pursuing teaching and coaching due to the fact they both share my interest of working with kids and being in charge. I also tend to believe with my grandmother and my mother also being teachers, it influenced my decision because…

Soccer now ranking third in girls’ sports, has become one of the most popular sports played by adolescents in America. (Shane Monaghan). “Heading is when a player propels the ball using their head”(Sports Definitions). “There are four main types of heading that occur in the game – the defensive header, used to clear the ball from the defensive area; the glancing header, used as a “pass” to advance the ball; the flick-on header which uses the back of the head to direct the ball; and the dramatic diving header, used to attack or to score a goal” (Pimlott). With each of these types of headers in soccer each one must be properly learned otherwise there will be a greater chance of risk and harm to players.. If players are taught the proper and basic fundamentals of soccer then they will be able to safely head a ball. When players…

My dream would be to start my own business and have it to do something with football, which would help popularize the sport in America as people have not watched much soccer and still have a lot to learn about it. I also feel if you do not have a passion for what you do you can not be happy doing it, and for me if you are not happy with what you do you should not be doing it which is why I want to do my undergraduate in business and do something related to…

“Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom”(George S. Patterson). In life odds are that you will not reach your goal on your first try. In fact, you’ll get knocked down or out of your path multiple times in your life. So it's good to have multiple plans in your life. My goal is to play football after high school, but I realize there is a good chance that won't happen. Either the team I want to play for doesn’t offer me or just that I wasn’t good enough. My goal and dream is to play college football.…

My sophomore and junior year of high school my father, Coach Shaw, became my coach again. To my surprise Coach Shaw kept me where Coach Yeargan had put me. My dad is really happy I played that one year with Coach Yeargan because of how much I grew. I love having my father as my coach, because he is my all-time favorite coach, but I sometimes miss having Coach Yeargan as my coach. My senior year of soccer is about to begin, and I am quite sure I will keep my same position. Coach Yeargan isn’t completely out of my life, because I still use all of his tips and tricks he shared with me. The mentality he gave me is the same one I still have. Every single game Coach Yeargan still critiques me and tells me ways to fix my game. He cheers me on when I make a goal, and sometimes picks on me by saying it was luck, which it usually is. His favorite thing to say is, “Oh another lucky goal. All you do is kick the ball and hope it goes in.” I am thankful not only to have Coach Shaw helping me, but I also have Coach Yeargan with me. Not many players have two coaches, so I am…

Ever since I was little, the same question has been asked to me, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” When I was at the age of four the answer might have been an astronaut or a football player but times have changed. As time progressed it changed to an architect, then to a police officer, and all different types of jobs as I got to college I really started to think about what I want to do. It ranged very much. I wanted to study criminal justice and become a police officer. Then wanted to start my own restaurant. But now I believe my dream occupation after all these years would have to be an athletic director.…

During my off season from soccer, I plan to be a sports commentator for ESPN or to open up my own personal training business. This will help me to make more money and allow me to continue to work after I retire from professional soccer. I would like to eventually be asked to commentate for the women’s FIFA world cup. If I do not follow through with my main plan because of injury or loss of interest, I would like to go to college solely for a degree in business and sports education. After graduating from college, I would open up a full time personal training business for soccer teams. There I would be able to teach many young players the game of soccer and help them to perfect their…

Soccer has been a huge part of my life since I was young. Ever since I can remember, I’ve joined the school soccer team when I was given the option. Of all the years I was involved in soccer, my high school freshman year was the most memorable. Due to my advanced skills, I was put in the senior soccer team, a feat quite difficult to accomplish for any incoming athlete. That year our school hired a highly experienced coach; he made our school team feel like a real discourse community. Unlike other coaches I’ve had before, his knowledge and wisdom of the game of soccer surpassed that of anyone I’ve met. From the very first day of try-outs, I felt like I was part of a professional soccer team. Running back and forth across the soccer field, my classmates and I were working hard to impress the new coach, as he was just hours away from picking his team players. Little did I know I was in for an experience of a lifetime.…
