Research Paper About Homecoming Week
Homecoming week was full of exciting activities, games, and sports! Events were happening everyday during this week. The week kicked off on Monday the 26th and it started with Dress like a Pirate day! Not only was Monday full of fun, but it continued through the week. Tuesday was comfy cozy, and we definitely brought out the jammies. Wednesday consisted of a ton of twins, because who doesn’t want one. Thursday brought some interesting throwbacks, with people dressing from their favorite time periods or even as their younger selves. Today the classes had assigned colors to wear, unless you were one of the lucky seniors who wore a toga! The Freshman wore red, Sophomores wore white and Juniors wore blue.

Not only were there dress up days but

The NCAA (National Collegiate Association of Athletics) has many different rules and restrictions for Division 1 student athletes. A lot of these rules are controversial because of some of the NCAA 's own actions. Every year, many student athletes get either suspended or kicked off teams for disorderly conduct, or not abiding by the rules set by the NCAA. The NCAA is, and always has been, sternly against any student athletes receiving any type of profit for anything, unless they are working for it. Along with this, student athletes are not permitted too ever accept any money for participating in a college sport, and if they do this is a major violation and they will have consequences for breaking these rules.…

The Ohio Buckeye is best suited for native or open areas. Buckeyes are not typically good street trees and are not recommended to be planted close to homes because of litter from twigs, leaves, and fruit. The broad canopy makes the tree ideal for open areas. The tree is best suited for open areas, like parks, but due to its natural habitat it can be grown in woodland type settings. In wooded areas the Buckeye is found in Beech-Sugar-Maple woods and can grow with any plant that grows in wet…

I had just arrived to my destination: Gallipoli, Turkey. As nervous as I was already with shivers down my spine nearly every minute I didn’t want to lose my young life tomorrow. It was a long ride but my troops and I were prepared for what could come our way. We jumped off the half sunken ship due to the enormous amount of soldiers. It was going to be a long and hard battle. The water we had to walk through to set up our camps was muddy and clumpy I was hoping I don’t get trench foot. Me, as the leader leaded on where we have to set up our camps. We set up our tents around the gruesome field of dead, yellow, sun dried grass next to the sandy rough hills. Rain had just started sprinkling and the next minute, hailing, it lit out our fire along with a deathlike thunderstorm. The dogs started howling under the glowing half-moon that gave us the only light left. I knew the next day only brought frightful visions of what will come to us tomorrow….…

When the Tulsa State Fair is taking over the city people go to ride rides, play games, and see what new weird food they have introduced this year. There is a part of the fair many people don't notice and if they do it's the smell the barns put off which often overpowers the smell of funnel cake, what I am talking about is the stock show. The stock show is where people from any age can come and show off their best animal, this ranges from your most fluffy rabbit to your fastest steer. The people who participate in these events spend countless hours training and preparing their animal for their ten minutes in the ring to see if the judges like their animal as much as they do. I personally showed beef cattle and I'm going to walk you through the steps of preparing one of these animals to show.…

Another trend that is happening in football recruiting is coaches refusing to allow committed prospects to take visits elsewhere. Most coaches end up taking away their scholarships. Texas and the likes of Michigan and Oregon are programs that institute a no visit policy for commits. Some coaches are front up with the players they recruit. Coaches install this policy to safeguard against the possibility that prospects may change their minds. I think coaches should allow these players to visits other schools without taking away their scholarship. Some of my college classmates believe “It’s a good idea in case you don’t like that school” (Survey Monkey, 2016).…

Spirit Week (Oct 5-9) kicked off this year with the classic "Pajama Day", the majority of the students dressed in their adorable onesies and pajama pants. Twin day followed after, and the Juniors lead in winning the Spirit cup. But, with Homecoming and Pep Rally Day coming up on the horizon; each class determined to have more spirit and participants than the others for Spirit Week. Freshman, Madison Contestable, told us her class has enough spirit to win the Spirit Cup: "For sure. I know I do, I've done every single day." As Lauren Wiseman, a Junior, said, "I'm wishing the Juniors had more spirit." Entering the third day of Spirit Week, each class put in their all for another classic: Wacky Tacky Day. References: United States[edit source | editbeta]Homecoming is an annual tradition of the United States. People, towns, high schools and colleges come together, usually in late September or early October, to welcome back alumni and former residents. It is built around a central event, such as a banquet and, most often, a game of American football, or, on occasion, basketball, ice hockey or soccer. When celebrated by schools, the activities vary widely. However, they usually consist of a football game played on a school 's home football field, activities for students and alumni, a parade featuring the school 's marching band and sports teams, and the coronation of a Homecoming Queen (and at many schools, a Homecoming King). A dance commonly follows the game. When attached to a football game, Homecoming traditionally occurs on the team 's return from the longest road trip of the season. The game itself, whether it be football or another sport, will typically feature the home team playing a considerably weaker opponent. The game is supposed to be an "easy win" and thus weaker schools will sometimes play lower division schools.…

Jessica and I have really been missing you since you left the school to New Beau forts. Have you finally come to manage the uniform? I remember how much you begged your parents to stay in Ridgeway. As you asked me to in your previous letter, I’m writing to inform you about the new term. It’s been quite different without you there. Did you know the school changed the uniform? It’s horrible! A blue skirt and blazer, a white blouse and a ridiculous plaid tie, not forgetting the pair of knee length white socks with flats. The other one was way better.…
