ABSTRACT

This paper is conducted to determine the effects of Facebook addiction in the study habits of selected 2nd year BSA students. It is done by means of questionnaire consisted of six (6) items. The researchers used the simple random sampling methods. Based on the gathered data, the researchers want to know if there is a significant effect between the studying habits of the selected students to Facebook addiction. And through this study, it will help the parents monitor their children; to the school administrator to implement necessary programs for students; to internet cafe owners to make some guidelines in internet use and to students to know what are the signs and symptoms of Facebook addiction, how to quit to it without having to quit Facebook, what could be the ways to stop Facebook addiction and what are its effects to the study habits of selected students.

    For the convenience of the readers, percent will be used to further explain the results. All of the respondents use Facebook but 10% of them were not aware of the term social networking. In addition, 80% of the respondents use other social networking aside from Facebook.
