INTRODUCTION

Having experienced the transforming power of the Holy Spirit through the understanding and application of God’s word, there is always a contagious desire to share it with others. In Colossians 3:16, the Apostle Paul says that this should characterize the tenor of our time with other Christians. He said, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and exhorting one another with all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, all with grace in your hearts to God.”
God called Abraham to be a teacher of His word, He chose him to be the father of a great nation, because He saw that Abraham would instruct his children and his household in the principles of God 's law. And that which gave power to Abraham 's teaching was the influence of his own life. His great household consisted of more than a thousand souls, many of them heads of families, and not a few but newly converted from heathenism. Such a household required a firm hand at the helm. No weak, vacillating methods would suffice. Of Abraham God said, "I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him." Genesis 18:19. Yet his authority was exercised with such wisdom and tenderness that hearts were won.
The testimony of the divine Watcher is, "They shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment." Genesis 18:19. And Abraham 's influence extended beyond his own household. Wherever he pitched his tent, he set up

This resource offers innovate way in expressing what has changed the believers heart. This could also be taught to an entire church on how to start an evangelism program. This philosophy can be implemented right away into an every day conversation. A person would probably need to read through the work possibly twice to fully understand the concepts being presented and to see how to implement them into their daily lives. It would have to become part of them. This book helps clarify a simple way to share the faith. There are a multiple of programs, methods, and marketing technique that are available to sharing the Gospel these days. However, the approach that was examined in “Sharing Jesus without Fear” alleviates the pressure that some might feel to follow a system. This system is heavily dependent on the scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit to do the convicting. It really does help me to understand that the Gospel can be shared virtually anywhere without being so in the face of people. This is opening a door to ask someone to share what they believe with the believer and in return showing the true. Instead of saying out from the beginning, you are going to hell. It does take evangelism in a different direction and his emphasis on living out the Gospel. To having a powerful impact in regards to the Gospel one must be living it and this is so…

Abraham was called by God to give up his polytheistic ways. God promised Abraham that he would never give up on him. As Heinsch states, “he had to journey to a foreign land alone trusting in God’s guidance.” If Abraham fulfilled this request God promised him three things, Great Nation, Land (which was Canaan) and Protection. At this time, Abraham worshipped the popular moon god, “sin” and was to break with idolatry and become monotheistic. Epstein stated that, “Abraham turned to the service of the one and only God whom he recognised as the creator of…

With every test and story, Abraham wrestled and challenged God by asking questions. For instance, Abraham had a son with Hagar after long awaiting on the promise child of God with Sarah, illustrating that even Abraham doubted God’s extraordinary promises. However, in the end Abraham wholeheartedly trusted God and God’s plans for his life, a special relationship that continues in present day Judaism. Abraham’s embodiment of the virtue of obedience was practiced in word and deed, being an example for other believers to be a hearer and doer of the Judaism faith. As seen in this story, piety to God leads to obedience. His obedience was his function of his piety, meaning Abraham was dutiful because he was devout and .faithful. This suggest that the Judaism faith has an element of causality, which is summarized in the Judaism retribution theology that God will reward those who follow his commands and punishes those who disobey them as seen in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.. Due to his unwavering faith to do as God commanded him, God did as promised: made him the father of a great people, gave him numerous descendants/ land, and a relationship with Him (…

A message is to be selected which is appropriate for the student, then communicated to him by the teacher (Mitchell, p276). A regimen must be in place which encompasses an organized, structured designed curriculum (Mitchell, p279). Yet we must not simply fill people’s heads with Biblical knowledge and principles (Barna 2001, p89). Because of the diversity of believer’s backgrounds and abilities, the message has been taught in random, rather than systematic methods (Barna 2001, p91). This incongruity has resulted in good information being lost if it is presented without context, or application to the believers’ life.…

Kierkegaard details that Abraham’s actions were one of a private undertaking in which he acted on behalf of himself and God in order to attest his faith to God and himself. God’s will was for Abraham to demonstrate his faith by sacrificing his son, which conflicted with his ethical duty of loving “his son more dearly than himself” and created an environment of temptation, defined as “that which would keep him from doing his duty” (Guignon, Pereboom 58, 60). This temptation acted as an obstacle for carrying out God’s will. By refraining from this temptation, Abraham transgressed the universal by shelving his ethical duty and expressing God’s will. This, Kierkegaard states, is the teleological suspension of the ethical. Kierkegaard also explains that Abraham cannot be “mediated” as his intentions behind his actions cannot be easily understood or explained. The reason being is faith is the virtue of the absurd. Faith goes beyond the universal, and in doing so, goes beyond our capacity to reason with it. Faith is not something that has a clear definition and description; rather it is something inexplicable to the reasonable mind that is best understood when it is experienced as an individual aligned with…
