Research Essay: Why Guns Don T Kill People

Somewhere around 12,000 people die of homicide out of the 30,000 people that die each year from guns. The remaining 18,000 die from suicide. Car crashes are deadlier than guns, 43,000 people died in 2005 to car crashes (Medred). We would save more people if we took away cars, but that would also cause other problems. People argue about how guns kill people when in reality guns can’t kill anyone unless someone pulls the trigger. People are so focused on that guns are the killers when it’s really the rage of someone that is the killer. Guns aren’t capable of killing, guns are things, a big piece of metal, guns are inanimate objects (Medred). People should forget about the guns and work on disease control and cures for diseases.
