There has been a growing awareness about concussion injury in sport, particularly in the last decade. Ten years ago, it was estimated that upwards of “…300 000 sport-related concussions occur[ed] annually in the United States and account[ed] for 75% of all sport-related brain injuries” (Bloom et al., 2008, p.295). Given the more educated understanding of concussion injury and its symptoms, coupled with the significant increase in international sport participation, this number is significantly larger today. With a better understanding of the potential negative performance and health consequences of this type of injury, researchers are focusing their efforts on fast-paced sports involving high-speed collisions (Dick, 2009).…

    2. The problem I want to talk about is how teenage pregnancy is not getting the right attention it should be getting and that those who do go through teenage pregnancy are always being judged. Teenage pregnancy is a common obstacle many people face all over the world. These women may have gotten pregnant through incest, rape, because they love their partner, or even because they were in the heat of the moment. They still deserve the right amount of education about the decisions they make and should be treated just as equal as those who do not experience teenage pregnancy. I have an understanding of teenage pregnancies and the hardships of it because I experienced it second-hand. I have two family members that had their first child between the ages of 16 to 19. I want other people to know that teenage pregnancy is not always something that happens willingly. Therefore, I want to learn the variables which can be spoken about in order to reduce the immediate judgments people have of other people who have had kids in their teenage years.…

On April 19, 1995, at 9:02 a.m., the United States of America was reminded that the worst horror often comes from within. Within a matter of days Americans were forced to realize that this terrible tragedy may have been caused by citizens who call themselves patriots. Until the Oklahoma City bombing, Americans generally though of terrorism as a foreign problem that could not invade the walls of this nation. Many Americans had given little thought to what these patriots sought to do. Militia and patriot groups were considered to be fairly harmless groups who enjoyed stirring people up. The vast majority of Americans did not realize how serious or how dangerous these groups actually were. Very few people could understand why a fellow countryman would wreak such havoc on them. When it was learned that the accused suspects in the Oklahoma City bombing allegedly had ties to political extremist groups, citizens started to give these groups a second, closer look. Very slowly, and over several decades, these fundamental extremist groups and backyard political patriots have evolved into the most dangerous enemy this country has ever faced.…

In today’s society, the research process is critical to the success of a business or corporation. Companies are able to utilize the research process to help improve their business performance and the series of actions used to accomplish tasks or resolve problems. Business managers implement the research process when there is a gap in a systematic series of actions (Cooper & Schindler, 2011). The process is used when certain predicaments or dilemmas arise in business operations. Once the problem is identified, a group of skilled individuals are assigned to work together to examine the problem, create betterment or replacement (Cooper & Schindler, 2011). This paper will discuss the business research process from my personal experience in the workplace.…
